Odin counts to 5!

Odin listens to everything his big brother says. Lately, he's been counting just like Roman, and pooping in the potty, and anything else brother does.

Odin poops on the potty!!!

Finally, Odin wants to poop on the potty (and pee on the plants) just like big brother!
Although he regularly peed when given the chance his first year, he stopped last summer and hasn't been interested since. But, lately he enjoys copying his brother, and brother is proud to help him!
When he sits on the potty, he says he's putting the poop in the "tunnel" lol.

Fun with Roman!

Roman has his first ever ride in a tow truck, finds an easier way to color, sees his first rainbow! (while wearing his medieval rag crown), makes a plaster thumb (just like Curious George did), gets his face painted at Kid-Palooza, and pours Odin some tea (they love tea parties!)

Odin has become quite the efficient little noodle eater!

Super Fun Weekend!

The boys and I had an awesome weekend! Roman loved the Medieval Festival- shooting arrows, jousting, castles and pirate shows! Then we went to the circus and the boys we're enthralled! They sat very still for more than 2 hours until one of them had to poop, of course. Then the other one pooped... But, luckily we returned just in time to see the trapeze act, Roman's favorite! Odin's favorite was the motorcycles and the elephants. You've never seen a 2 year old sit so still and quiet, with big wide eyes!

Roman rides his bike! AHHHH!!!!

I can't believe it! I bought Roman a big boy bike (with training wheels) when Odin turned 2, and Roman gave his little blue balance bike to Odin. But... Odin wasn't ready for that (he prefers to be pushed on his tricycle- smart boy) and Roman preferred good ol blue.
However, today the twins next door were riding without training wheels, and Roman wanted to try too, and he did it on his first try! Amazing!!!

The funniest part was when he first came home and said, "Mom! I want my training wheels off! (Pause) Wait, wait, wait! (Holding out his hand) No, I don't."
Off he went. 20 minutes later... "Mom! I want my training wheels off, I really do! I'm ready!"

Happy Mother's Day!

The boys and I had a terrific day! Roman had his first sleepover with his best friend, Greg. We saw dinosaurs at the zoo, then watched a really neat movie called, "Bears," a documentary about a fearless mama grizzly taking care of her cubs at all costs. I have to remind myself some times... The only way out is through.

It's been a tough year, but these amazing little boys keep me smiling no matter what. I hold them so tight some nights, I never make it to my own bed.

Whew... February was a tough month! Roman literally rolled over and puked in my face, they had diarrhea, coughing/congestion, flu... It lasted for weeks, and I'm still coughing! Sick days, snow days... Needless to say, I missed a few days of work. :-/

So, they're recovered now. They love playing in the snow. Roman has been very helpful in teaching Odin to poop like a big boy- even rubbing his belly! Odin copies everything Roman does! Everything.

Roman loves taking selfies, running around naked, and drawing stars on their bellies. They keep me busy to say the least!
