9 Months Old!

On Friday, Roman had his 9-month checkup. Doc was impressed as usual. : ) Weighing in at 17 lbs., 11 oz., he only gained 1 lb. in 3 months, but we know he's not starving because he grew 3 inches! He's now 31.5 in. Their weight gain usually tapers off around the time they start crawling. But, we are steadily increasing his food intake now which he is enjoying.

He is saying "da da" more regularly now, but still only says "mom" when upset. There are plenty of ramblings and sometimes they sounds like words, but who knows?! He is showing signs of musical genius, banging on everything around with a surprising ability to keep the beat. And he is still quite fond of his soccer ball, becoming more adept at rolling and kicking it every day. And, his new favorite thing is the swimming pool, he loves it! Doesn't seem to mind water in his face at all and even puts his head under.
