Roman now has 17 teeth! Just three more teeth to go! And thankfully, he loves brushing them. We've been so busy getting the garden and the pool and the landscaping ready for spring that we don't have a lot of pictures or videos from this month. There are a few from Grandma Cozy's visit, the park and Roman and his vehicles. He loves to line them up. And when he's finished playing he usually goes and parks them in a special place. Sometimes he sees if he can ride one on top of another. And he loves to move his chair out of the way so he can ride his rocket right up to his table for a snack. He is loving the outdoors. Every morning he immediately runs to the back door and asks to be let out, and it's hard for him when I say that he has to wait. Also, he's just had a few accidents this whole month and now if he pees in his pants he gets upset about it, which is good. There are some close calls on number 2 since its sometimes on its way when he says, "poooooo."
He has learned a few more signs; I think he knows about 40 now, but his mom has trouble keeping up and learning more. He can read a few words, just the ones he's interested in like ball, elephant, hot, fire, Jagger. I think he knows much more than he'll say, but no child of mine would ever cooperate fully, would he? : )
He is also a pro at mimicking. He mimics everything he hears, such as sirens, animals, motors, and daddy cursing. Lately there has been a loud frog outside our window and just when you think Roman is asleep, he'll sit straight up and say, "rrrraahhhh, rrrraahhhh!" just like the frog. He's very big into sharing right now, well the offer to share, not the actual sharing. Everything he eats now, first he holds it out as if to share with a toy or us or one of the pets and he makes a little chomping sound as if you're eating it, then he quickly sticks it in his mouth. And he is constantly playing peekaboo. He puts his hands over his face or he just closes his eyes, and I'm pretty sure he thinks we can't see him.
He's just so much fun and he's so easy. He listens very well and he's always extremely careful when he has something fragile or he's playing near the pool. He always reaches up for my hand if we go near the street and if he has a problem he asks for help. He still loves to do what we do: he brushes when we brush, he puts on deodorant, he sweeps, he cleans, he waters, he pulls weeds. He doesn't do some of those things very well and he keeps trying to pull out my basil, but he's trying and someday soon I'm sure he'll know the difference.
