It seems as though Odin has gotten much bigger, but he is just over 16 lbs. and not quite yet 28 inches. He's got chubby, muscular little legs, not the long skinny one Roman has. He is into everything and just follows Roman around, seeing what he can play with, or eat- toys that is. He still has not started solids regularly, but very much enjoys a little banana or avocado on occasion. I made him his first smoothie yesterday- spinach, banana and apple and he absoulutely loved it. Only took him about 2 minutes to figure out how to drink from the straw. Now, he dances and talks if I start the blender as if to say, "Yes, please, I want smoothie!"
He is still sleeping pretty well. He might wake up once around 10 or 12 and need a little help back to sleep, then he usually wakes at 3 to nurse and to pee, then back to sleep until almost 7 usually. He will usually only stay up about and hour before he's back to sleep. Then, he takes another nap, about an hour or hour and a half, around 11 and 2. He still eats on his preferred schedule- 7, 10, 1, 4 and 7 and doesn't usually need another nap after he wakes at 4. He stays up until about 7:45 and really enjoys that last hour when we take a bath and read books. Then, when the light goes off, he lays his head on my shoulder and goes to sleep while I rock. Roman lays in bed, covers up and goes to sleep all on his own now. He will occasionally ask to nurse, but it hasn't been more than 1-2x per week in about 3 months.
Odin has SOOO much fun playing with Roman. And, it's funny how well he listens to him. When Roman tells him, "No," he stops and finds something else to play with.
Big brother keeping him safe.
I know it doesn't need to be said... but, O-M-G, he is adorable!
Two BIG boys pooping!
He is sooo close to crawling, but still quickly scooching along. That has not stopped him from standing up on everything. Although Roman crawled very early, I think Odin will walk much earlier than Roman did. But, Odin has been up on his knees a lot today, so he is very close to figuring it out- I'm in no rush.
Words cannot express how much Odin loves to drive the grocery cart with his brother!
A quick clip of "I'm going to get you" and in the shower:
