Still around 28 inches and now just under 18 lbs., but 6 months was a a good month for firsts. He spent the month perfecting his crawling. He sprouted two teeth and tried a lot of new foods. He uses the sign for milk and even says, "mig." He is also regularly saying, "da da," and we think he knows who that is. He might also be saying, "ga" for Jagger. No mama yet, even though he still says, "ma" anytime he's hungry or upset and wants to come to me (and has since he was two days old).
He got to try several different foods this month: apple, carrot, banana, kale, spinach, zucchini, cucumber, orange bell pepper, celery, and almond milk. But, he's just tasting, we're not quite on solids yet; although, he seemed to love them all.
We've been busily baby-proofing since he easily crawls from room to room now, and pulls himself up on everything. We saw a baby helmet in a magazine, but we're hoping it doesn't come to that. His favorite thing right now is climbing. He walks along, holding the edge of the sofa and you can tell he thinks he should be able to scale it, but can't quite figure it out yet.
He also LOVES showers. Now, when I try and get in the shower, I give him some toys on the bathroom floor and he's happy playing until I turn on the water, then he will stop playing and try and climb into the tub. He wants me to pick him up and bring him in the shower with me. I'm glad he likes the tub, but it's hard to get myself clean with one hand.
