18 Months

This is a picture of Roman's 18-month checkup. He weighs a little over 21 lbs and is close to 34 inches tall. The doctor used the word "advanced" several times. : ) Most of his pants stopped fitting this month and his shoes were curling his big toes, so he's wearing his new big boy shoes now and he likes them a lot. This was also a rough month for teeth, 3 new molars and 3 canines and man, they were tough!

He does and says so many cute things every day that it is hard to keep track of. For instance, the other day he wanted to go "vroom-vroom, bye-bye" in the car. I said, "Roman, we'll go when I'm finished putting away the dishes." So, he ran into the kitchen, opened the dishwasher and started throwing all the silverware into the silverware drawer. Of course, when I asked him to help me with the dishes earlier that morning, he was too busy. When he wants to go on a walk, he pushes his stroller to the front door, climbs in, and says, "mama, vroom-vroom, bye-bye, Jagger!" He announces when he needs to poop; he takes off his own clothes before his bath; he washes himself; he loves to help clean and wipes up any spills he makes; he helps water the garden every day; and, he is loving the slide and swings at the park and in the backyard.
