22 Months

Some pics of tractors, Alexis, brushing his teeth and loving on Chino, the dog we watched recently. The last few pics are hard to tell, but in two of them he is laying on his belly and exploring the dog's privates, which Jagger doesn't seem to mind and in the other ones he is trying really hard to put on Mommy's underwear. Roman has been happily playing with a new car set that I picked up at the thrift store. He played for hours this weekend, all by himself. At one point, I noticed he had left the car site and I heard running water. Next thing I know he is coming out of bathroom toward me saying, "Pooooo" with his hands held up to show me that he has some on his fingers, and his arms. So, we go back to the bathroom and I see that he apparently pooped a little bit in the potty but not before some got in his pants, which he decided to try and clean in the sink. I guess he deiced to call for backup once he got it on him; he does not like to be dirty. Although he still has days where he pees his pants or a little poo sneaks out on his way to the bathroom, for the most part, he enjoys taking care of he potty all by himself. He's even been emptying his little potty into the toilet lately. He's actually pretty good at it with very few spills.

Some favorite words are "Up!" or "Uck!" instead of "Guh" which is what he used to say for up and down. Ice cream, nut, smoothie, all gone, bug (which he loves to swat with our shoes), leaf, swim, oh boy!, oh no! and movie.

He asks almost every morning if he can swim and he just can't wait until I tell him it's time to go wake up Daddy. He still loves to work outside with Daddy and mow the lawn for hours it seems, first on Daddy's back and then with his little mower.

And, he finally had his first taste of "Op-corn!" and he loves it. We saw Mr. Popper's Penguins with our next door neighbor, Alexis, Roman's bestest friend. Every time we drive by her house, he points and says, "A-sis" then he signs the word friend; and he always asks if we can go for a walk with Asis.
