The doctor was very impressed that Odin has already gained 21 ounces in less than 2 weeks. He weighed 7 lbs at birth and lost about 4 oz. by day 2, which isn't much; this was due to the fact that his big brother had mama's milk in within 24 hours of Odin's birth. So, at 2 weeks, he weighed 8 lbs. 1 oz. and was already an inch longer- 22 inches. He is really starting to fill out; I just love his chubby baby legs and his big belly.
The doctor was also blown away by the fact that Odin is already smiling and tracking objects with his eyes- this is something you might expect at 6-8 weeks. Roman did this in the first weeks as well. Roman's first smile was literally minutes after he was born. He crawled up my chest, nursed, burped and then looked up at me when I sang to him and then he smiled. Odin was about 50 hours old (it was 3 am) and he was awake and I was talking to him when he flashed me the cutest toothlesss grin. No gas, just a nice big smile for momma, believe it. Today, Roman looked at Odin and said, "Odin doesn't have any teeth!"
